What You Can Buy from Veridian

The first four posts in this series described the work of issuing vLEIs: the qualification gate, the operational calendar, the verification ceremonies, the multi-signature mechanics. This one answers the practical question that follows: if you do not want to build all of that yourself, what can you actually buy?
The answer is VQS, the Veridian QVI Suite: our vLEI issuance platform, covering everything from onboarding through to renewal and revocation. The question is not whether to use it, but how much of it you want to run yourself. That comes down to a control ladder with three rungs. Pick your rung by deciding who you want running what.
The ladder
Managed. Veridian operates the vLEI issuance service end to end: meeting the qualification obligations, running the ceremonies, issuing and renewing credentials, and holding the wallet and its keys. Your platform surfaces customer status through a simple API. Fastest path to offering vLEIs, with the least operational commitment.
Embedded. You are the one issuing the credential, running onboarding with your own identity verification, while your platform integrates the full VQS API. Veridian runs the underlying platform and the wallet behind the scenes, so your customers only ever see you. You hold the customer relationship and the regulatory responsibility; we run the machinery.
Licensed. You run VQS in your own cloud or on premises, under your brand, with a white-label wallet. Veridian licenses the platform, ships updates, keeps the underlying protocols compliant, and is there to help if something goes wrong. Full sovereignty, slowest to first issuance.
Control grows as you descend the ladder, and the operational load, the subject of post 2, moves with it.
Every rung runs on the same wallet: a native mobile app for iOS, Android and Graphene OS purpose-built for the KERI and ACDC protocols vLEI runs on, not adapted from a generic or browser-based wallet. It is available today, not on a roadmap, and it is white-label from the Managed tier down, so your customers hold and present their credentials in an app that looks like yours.
Deployment and integration
The same platform runs in three places: Veridian's cloud, your own cloud, or on premises, for buyers who need their data to stay in a specific country or region. And VQS is built to be taken apart: partners integrate just the functions they need, either behind the scenes or as ready-made front-end pieces, instead of taking on one all-in-one system. In every configuration, signing keys never leave the wallet of the person they belong to.
